Pakistan 337 (Babar 90, Iftikhar 83, Labuschagne 3-78) was defeated by Australia 351 for 7 (Green 50*, Warner 48, Inglis 48, Mir 2-31) by 14 runs.

in the final exhibition match between the two teams before to the World Cup, Australia defeated Pakistan by 14 runs thanks to a cohesive bat and ball performance. Australia posted 351 and scored several early runs in a game that they much more effectively controlled than the score indicated until Pakistan's Babar Azam and Iftikhar Ahmed combo forced Pakistan back into the fight.

David Warner's 33-ball 48 helped Australia get off to a fast start after they won the toss and chose to bat first, but Pakistan struck frequently during the middle overs to pull them back. Hasan Ali was frugal in the top order, but Usama Mir took the wickets as Mohammad Nawaz performed the dependable container job he always does.

But Australia decided they wanted to get a little more out of this warm-up rather than wrapping up the match swiftly. They used the part-time spin of Labuschagne and Maxwell for the next 20 overs or so, followed by the even more sporadic spin of Steve Smith and David Warner. With a rank full toss, the latter almost picked up Iftikhar, but after Josh Inglis smashed it, chaos broke out.

The two added 144 runs in little under 18 overs until Iftikhar eventually holed out to the straight boundary after Warner went for 41 runs in his two overs. Babar Azam, who appeared to be in excellent form, gave way after reaching an unbeaten 90, but Australia started to take things seriously again when Cummins returned and dismissed Salman Ali Agha in his first over with 87 needed off of 13 overs. Nawaz's half-century helped Pakistan keep making progress, but Australia kept taking wickets and digging deeper into the Pakistani tail.

With 21 runs to get in the final three overs and one wicket in hand, Cummins turned once again to Labuschagne. A Hasan Ali slog to Mitchell Marsh at long-off ended a chaotic game where Australia wrapped up a win that might have been far more comfortable, if they had wanted it.
